Addiction

This section covers a broad range of addictive difficulties. These can involve behaviours such as excessive screen use or pornography addiction, as well as substance addictions including alcohol, smoking, and drugs.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) helps address addiction by exploring how thoughts, emotions, and behaviours interact. Together, we identify the triggers and underlying functions of the addictive behaviour—what it may be helping to avoid or cope with.

Through this process, CBT supports the development of healthier coping strategies that reduce reliance on destructive patterns. The goal is to help individuals regain a sense of control, improve well-being, and build a more sustainable path to recovery.
